As a BIM Manager, you’ll help shape the future of digital delivery across transportation and infrastructure projects that connect and strengthen communities. Your work will advance GFT’s commitment to smarter, safer, and more sustainable design by optimizing how information is created, shared, and maintained. Through your leadership in BIM and VDC technology, you’ll enhance coordination, improve project efficiency, and support innovation that directly benefits the people and places served by transportation systems across the region.
Manage Bentley tools such as ProjectWise, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, and MicroStation
Integrate project models with data sources such as GIS to improve contextual accuracy
Implement and oversee optimization tools for analyzing drainage, earthworks, and geometric design
Assign key digital staff and help mitigate potential project risks
Establish workflows for data transfer, QA/QC procedures, and digital standards
Provide mentorship and training on BIM processes, tools, and standards
Support collaboration among engineers, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders to improve coordination and reduce errors
Coordinate project kickoff and ongoing coordination meetings
Evaluate and deploy new software versions and emerging digital technologies
Direct project production work (modeling, sheet production, detailing, submittal prep, etc.) ~30%
Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards aligned with client and GFT requirements
Assist designers in using a model-centric workflow for more accurate design and analysis
Manage and maintain project CDE, ensuring consistent data organization and access
Conduct quality control reviews of digital models and deliverables
Support project teams with modeling, detailing, and sheet management as needed
Develop project implementation plans, including BIM execution and folder structure

Minimum 10 years of AEC experience with a transportation focus with at least 3 years in a BIM-focused role.
Proficient in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) for transportation and infrastructure projects.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related industry experience.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges.
Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in a BIM environment.
Understanding of 3D, 4D, and 5D BIM processes, including clash detection, scheduling, and quantity take-offs.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Proficiency in BIM authoring platforms from Bentley Systems (e. OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.)
Knowledge of ISO 19650 and other relevant BIM Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficient in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, ACC, Synchro, and Civil3D, and InfraWorks
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
