BIM Modeler/Designer- Plumbing & Firefighting

Description

The role of BIM Modeler/Designer – Plumbing & Firefighting involves creating, updating and coordinating BIM models for MEP services, ensuring compliance with project standards, BIM workflows, LOD and client requirements.

As a BIM Modeler you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams globally, support BIM coordination activities, and contribute to shaping next‑generation digital infrastructure for impactful projects.

• Develop and maintain Revit BIM models for firefighting and plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sanitary, fire protection, sprinkler systems and hydrants.
• Interpret design inputs, drawings and project documents to produce accurate 3‑D models.
• Coordinate with HVAC, Electrical, Architectural and Structural disciplines to ensure clash‑free models.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage or similar tools.
• Generate combined services drawings, schedules and quantity take‑offs from BIM models.
• Keep all drawings and records updated, controlled and accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the BIM Coordinator/Manager with model audits, quality checks and documentation.
• Provide regular status updates to superiors and ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs.
• Use Navisworks Manage for clash detection.

Requirements

• Hold an ITI/Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Possess 3–5 years of BIM modelling experience for firefighting and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NFPA and IPC; design experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrate self‑initiative, discipline, punctuality and strong work ethic.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (mandatory).
• Basic AutoCAD skills.
• Familiar with ACC and other cloud collaboration platforms.
• Basic knowledge of Revit plugins for automation.
