Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering and design of coastal structures
Professional affiliation (e.g., engineering, geoscientist or equivalent)
Mooring analysis based on static and dynamic numerical models.
Numerical models (e.g., SWAN, Delft3D, DHI Mike models, AQUA, Optimoor)
Understanding of the overall port development and planning phases and aspects, including navigation, and weather dependent downtime.
Hydrodynamic (waves, tides, and flow) and sediment transport numerical modeling. Tsunami modeling is an asset.
B.Sc., B.Eng., M.Sc., or M.Eng. degree in Civil, Coastal or Ocean Engineering and Ocean Science
Coastal protection design based on hard engineering (breakwater, groins, revetment), and alternative soft engineering solutions (beach nourishment or habitat creation). Experience with physical modelling, design implementation and construction methodologies is an asset.
Proficient in oral communication and reporting skills in English. Additional languages (especially French and Spanish) are an asset
Sound knowledge on data processing of vast environmental data sets, including but not limited to, hindcast data, measured data, statistical analysis methods, etc.
Knowledge and application of international best practice and relevant local standards and guidelines
Ability to work independently and in a team, depending on the project scope
