  • Initiate purchasing procedures when necessary to ensure sufficient materials, and spare parts are maintained in the facility.
  • Provide expert feedback, and detailed analysis to aid in the planning, and execution of Corrective/Preventive Maintenance for site reliability improvement.
  • Implement and/or supervise day-to-day maintenance activities.
  • Provide Contractor management, and supervision to outside contractors while working at site.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with various outside suppliers who provide support services to the site.
  • Follow and adhere to Air Products Lockout / Tag Out Procedures.
  • Complete all required training activities as outlined in the Instrument & Controls Technician progression guideline on time.
  • Provide Turnaround/Outage/Project support.
  • Update Plant Maintenance records, investigation findings, and prepare relevant reports required by management.
  • Assist in accurate storage, and disposal of both Hazardous, and Non-Hazardous waste.
  • Follow SWIM, JSA, and Air Products EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, and organized work shop, spare parts warehouse, and office space.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs of items that need repair, or maintenance performed through SAP maintenance software.

  • 3 years maintenance experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma, Applicable Trade/Technical degree, Apprenticeship, Military experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to demonstrate a dedication to working 100% Safe all the time.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal direction at times.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of static and rotating equipment using appropriate tools and test equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing (0-20 mA) controls.
  • Willing to work overtime as required, and willing to take “on call” responsibilities and respond within 1 hr. when called upon.
  • Detail Oriented, Self Driven
  • Ability to read and interpret plant P&ID’s, Electrical drawings, piping diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to work extended hours on short notice.
  • Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time. (Below Freezing & Extreme Heat).
  • Strong troubleshooting, and fault recognition skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and SAP.
