The Land Management Supervisor will lead and supervise land management operations on designated Defence estates, coordinating vegetation control, firebreak maintenance, and pest management activities. The role also ensures compliance with environmental regulations and Defence standards, manages contractor performance, and supports planning and reporting functions related to land upkeep.
Downer has secured the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to provide base and estate services across its two largest regions, NSW/ACT and Queensland, marking a major milestone in its more than 80‑year partnership with the Australian Defence Force. We are now seeking permanent staff in Newcastle for the role of Land Management Supervisor, with a start date of January 2026, and we welcome candidates from all backgrounds, including those with Defence experience, industry knowledge, or transferable skills.
Ideal candidates have experience in land management, horticulture, or environmental services, strong leadership and team‑coordination abilities, and a solid understanding of WHS and environmental compliance requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to deliver outcomes within budget and timeframes are essential.
