Prepare “As-Built” Documentation: Plot and run cross sections, and document project progress
Physical Responsibilities: Be prepared for heavy lifting and manual tasks as part of the inspection process
Conduct Materials Testing: Verify materials meet applicable contract and specification requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Inspect Transportation Construction Projects: Verify all work and materials meet project plans, proposals, and specifications
Independent Work: Take ownership of your tasks and work with minimal supervision
Perform Key Measurements & Calculations: Verify weights, volumes, and measurements to confirm compliance with applicable contract and specification requirements
Daily Documentation: Record all inspection activities in detailed reports

A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
SCDOT Certifications
-OR- If no degree, at least four (4) years of relevant experience. SCDOT experience preferred
