Groundskeeper

Description

• Perform grounds work such as trash removal, dumpster cleaning, sidewalk blowing, debris removal, and power washing.
• Clean breezeways by removing cobwebs, insects, mopping floors, power washing, and wiping doors and handrails.
• Execute basic landscaping tasks: trimming, pruning, watering, irrigation monitoring, and removing dead vegetation.
• Assist with make‑ready unit preparation, including trash outs from vacant apartments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid issues and maintain property quality.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate updates to residents and staff.
• Report supply needs and keep the maintenance shop organized.
• Collaborate with team members, other departments, and contractors to ensure seamless property upkeep.
• Assess safety and cleanliness standards to ensure regulatory compliance and resident well‑being.
• Maintain overall property condition, including ground cleanliness, delivering notices, and interior/exterior painting.

Requirements

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 1‑3 months of related experience or equivalent training, plus basic proficiency with Microsoft Office. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and operating maintenance equipment, while also using mobile devices for work‑related tasks.
