- Lead groundbreaking bridge projects that define the future of transportation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, code requirements, and client objectives.
- Develop and review engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel structures, and other materials.
- Utilize engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD for project delivery.
- Make a real difference by designing infrastructure that connects and strengthens communities.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Collaborate with CADD technicians to develop detailed bridge plans and specifications.
- Conduct detailed structural analysis, seismic analysis, and design for various bridge projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of PS&E contract documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across various geographic locations.
- Lead the planning, administration, and design of structural bridge projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
- Develop quantities and cost estimates, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Tackle complex engineering challenges with creativity and precision.
- Conduct quality control and assurance activities to maintain high standards in project execution.
- Apply advanced seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques to bridge projects.

- Proficiency with MicroStation (ORD a plus) and Civil3D.
- Strong understanding of structural behavior and mechanics of materials.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Structural Engineer (SE) certification is a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing tasks, projects, and professional staff.
- Ability to independently and accurately complete engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete and steel structures; familiarity with timber and masonry design is a plus.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon and/or Washington, or be able to obtain within 6-12 months after starting.
- 5-10 years of experience as a bridge engineer, including design, plan preparation, structural analysis, seismic analysis and design, quantity calculation, and construction support services.
- Proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
- Familiarity with engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD is a plus.
- Advanced understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (including MS Project).
- Experience with ODOT and WSDOT projects is a plus.
