  • Assist in managing client relationships to ensure high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support the execution of sales and marketing strategies, including participation in campaigns, industry events and public speaking engagements.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Works effectively across product, consulting, and marketing teams to deliver client-centred solutions, including upkeep of the website, writing articles and social media posts.
  • Manage project delivery, under the guidance of an Associate Director within the Masterplanning & Commercial team, in line with agreed timelines and budget.
  • Generate and qualify leads through structured outreach, networking, and relationship building, moving through the sales funnel (awareness, interest, desire, action, loyalty)
  • Engage in periodic research activities with our partner, the University of Strathclyde, to reinforce our relationship with them keeping us aligned with the latest developments in research while grounding their academic work in practice.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifies client challenges and frames solutions that leverage both software and consultancy offerings.
  • Collaborate with spatial knowledge experts and design teams to align solutions with client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Manage the PLACE LOGIC Analyst and work with other team members, to complete project deliverables.
  • Develop tailored proposals, presentations, and sales materials for PLACE LOGIC in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Analytical Thinking: Conducts market research, interprets data, and applies insights to identify opportunities and inform strategies.
  • Identify and research prospective clients, target sectors, and market opportunities, monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to provide insights that inform strategy.
  • Assist the Marketing team with upkeep of the website, including writing articles and blog posts.
  • Professionalism & Integrity: Represents the company with credibility, ethical conduct, and a commitment to long-term client success.

  • Experience in coding would be an advantage (e.g. Python), GIS modelling (e.g. QGIS)
  • Business Acumen: Understands core business drivers, market dynamics, and client needs; able to position solutions in terms of value creation.
  • Experience in planning, masterplanning and urban design and client engagement in the built environment.
  • Relationship Building: Establishes trust and rapport with prospective and existing clients; demonstrates strong networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interest in urban design principals and digital transformation.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in an evolving environment; demonstrates flexibility in handling new challenges and shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to learn & adopt new skills, with a flexible approach to supporting general office duties.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Ability to interpret and communicate insights from geo-datasets, cartography, and modelling of urban and socioeconomic relationships.
  • Digital Proficiency: Comfortable using specialist software, to analyse spatial data and produce computer-generated maps that assess factors like walkability in urban environments. Also, CRM systems, productivity tools, and digital platforms to support business development activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in an evolving department.
  • Good Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied portfolio of work.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication Skills: Articulates complex ideas clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal formats; adapts messaging to different audiences and capable of leading public speaking engagements.
  • Knowledge of CAD, Adobe Creative Suite & InDesign.
  • Awareness of the latest industry developments in urban design, planning, and real estate particularly regarding active travel and urban network analysis.
  • Professional experience in business development, sales, consulting, or technology-related roles.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK.
