Be an active member in developing plans for all components of bridges (layouts, substructures, superstructures), typically in Bentley’s MicroStation

Further develop skills learned in the classroom by participating in the design of steel and reinforced concrete structures
Engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network.
Visit the site of a bridge being actively constructed to strengthen understanding of what is detailed in plans

Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Previous structural undergrad course related work
Become familiar with AASHTO LRFD and other standards used in bridge design
Previous internship experience
Successful candidate will be able to read and interpret design codes, communicate effectively, and be willing to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills
