The Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer will manage and deliver all electrical components of design projects. This role involves leading design, analysis, specifications, drawings and procurement, as well as coordinating with other disciplines, clients, contractors and regulatory authorities. The engineer will also conduct technical reviews, prepare documentation, and oversee site activities such as inspections and quality audits.
- Lead electrical design, analysis, load lists, specifications, data sheets, drawings and procurement activities.
- Coordinate inter‑disciplinary technical efforts and liaise with clients, contractors, stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct technical reviews of electrical equipment and system designs, including calculations.
- Manage power distribution, electrical controls and distribution boards.
- Evaluate design changes and non‑conformances to ensure requirements are met.
- Prepare reports, specifications and other technical documentation.
- Lead procurement activities: material requisitions, bid evaluations, vendor drawing reviews and technical discussions with vendors.
- Perform site visits, inspections, FAT, SAT, quality audits and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Uphold HSEQ standards, participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies and manage technical queries.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical personnel.

Candidates must hold a BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering and be a member (or in progress) of a professional institution. Required experience includes medium‑voltage and low‑voltage systems, fire detection, alarm and ELV knowledge, and preferably oil‑and‑gas sector exposure, especially on‑shore fuel distribution and storage projects. Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, SP3D, Autodesk Revit, BIM, and standards like ADNOC, DEWA, and TAQA is advantageous, along with strong coordination and presentation skills.
- Hold a BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering; membership or progression towards a professional institution.
- Experience with medium‑voltage (cables, transformers, switchgear) and low‑voltage power and lighting systems.
- Knowledge of fire detection, alarm systems and general ELV solutions.
- Familiarity with ETAP, SP3D, Autodesk Revit and BIM is advantageous.
- Oil & gas sector experience, particularly on‑shore fuel distribution networks and storage facilities.
- FEED/EPC project experience is beneficial.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and global stakeholders.
- Understanding of ADNOC, DEWA, TAQA and other industry standards.
- Strong presentation skills to discuss design schemes with clients, architects and stakeholders.
