Facilitate the purchase of appropriate equipment by specifying requirements and assisting procurement with the purchase of equipment
Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction by working with engineers and designers
Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of mechanical engineering by managing the man hour budget and reviewing and approving mechanical capital cost estimates, recommending alternative approaches where possible.
Assist the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts by providing advice and input as required
Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance by supporting daily performance and providing ongoing mentoring and training

Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years in mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling, specifically gold and copper.
Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
Must hold PE Certification- ideally within Arizona or Colorado
Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants and in-house experience.
Good knowledge of CAD and 3-D software and MS Office
Well-developed written and oral skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks for the design team and manage time effectively.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
