You will work directly in residents’ homes, respecting their privacy while providing excellent customer service. All work must be carried out safely, efficiently and to a professional standard, and you will record details using handheld devices or job sheets. Managing your daily workload to meet service level targets is a key part of the job.
- Carry out day‑to‑day responsive repairs in occupied social housing properties.
- Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames.
- Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors.
- Repair or replace internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges.
- Identify and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks.
- Patch plaster and make good damaged walls or ceilings.
- Complete wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing.
- Paint and decorate to a professional finish after repairs.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Work sensitively in occupied properties, respecting residents’ privacy.
- Report further works, safeguarding concerns, or out‑of‑scope property issues.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes.
- Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.

We are seeking a versatile Multi‑Skilled Operative to deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance for occupied social housing. The role involves responding to a wide range of repair requests, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating, ensuring homes are safe and functional. No two days are the same, so adaptability and problem‑solving are essential.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in domestic repairs across multiple trades, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently. Strong fault‑finding, problem‑solving and health and safety knowledge are required, along with excellent customer‑service skills in occupied homes. Proficiency with handheld job‑management tools is also needed.

Benefits
The position offers a salary of up to £42,020.68 per annum, a company van and fuel card, and a 42.5‑hour work week (Monday‑Friday, 8‑5). It is a full‑time permanent role based in Hammersmith & Fulham, with the possibility of working on contracts across the UK.
