Commercial Plumber

Description

• Installation: Run vent and water systems, hang pipes, install floor drains, sinks, closet flanges, trap primers, wall carrier systems, mixing valves, roof drain harnesses, condensate drains, insulation.
• Participate in phone/office interview, field tests.
• Bend, crawl, climb ladders, hold weight, step into ditches, reach overhead.
• Installation: Install plumbing trunks, stacks, floor drains, cleanouts, copper for trap primers, cast iron pipes, septic systems, grease interceptors.
• Drilling: Drill vent and water systems.
• Excavation: Dig trenches with proper fall.
• Uphold company standards.
• Work early mornings, climb stairs with tools, work on lifts/ladders, walk/work 8-10 hours a day.
• Testing: Test plumbing systems, wrap pipes, measure stacks.
• Testing: Set water temperatures, test drains, cleanouts, access panels, indirect drains.
• Submit job history/resume, application, questionnaire, written test, references, driving record.
• Additional Tasks: Hook up ice machines, sprayer faucets, gas flexes, gas regulators, water filters, exterior cleanouts, circulating pumps, ADA compliance.
• Installation: Install strainers, faucets, lavatories, mixing valves, toilets, urinals, flush valves, floor drains, angle stops, p-traps, disposals, dishwashers, RO systems, soft water systems, backflows, sinks, water heaters, expansion tanks, booster pumps, condensate drains, electrical heat tape, manifold gas systems, mop sinks, caulking with silicone.

Requirements

• Swing sledge hammer, use jackhammer, climb spoils, work on back/knees.
• Required Tools: Tub cutters, mini-sledge, dykes, level, tape measure, channel locks, impact drill, driver drill, soldering torch, lighter, reamer, copper cutters, allen wrenches, socket drivers, screwdrivers, drill bit accessories, tool bags.
• Soldering: Solder without leaks, ream copper pipes.
• Dig with shovel, withstand 30-115 degree temperatures, avoid cramping.
• Move wheelbarrow, swing pick/digging bar, unload pipe, work in tight spaces.
• Be available for out-of-town work, legal to work in the US, understand/read blueprints.
• Lift 50lbs overhead, dead lift 100lbs.
• Leadership, communication, good appearance.
• Own tools and PPE, submit to drug test, have reliable transportation.
