Metal Panel Fabricator

Description

• Balance safety, quality, and efficiency in every fabrication process.
• Support teammates by maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized shop.
• Inspect fabricated panels for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, and consistency before delivery or installation.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine material needs, layouts, and fabrication sequences.
• Continue learning new fabrication techniques and technologies for ACM systems.
• Fabricate panels according to precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify fabrication challenges and implement creative, effective solutions.
• Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or design discrepancies to the superintendent promptly.
• Rout, fold, bend, and form ACM panels using brake presses, routers, and clamping systems.
• Work collaboratively to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet client expectations.
• Fabricate ACM/MCM metal panels with attention to panel joints and structural performance.
• Make decisions that support the customer, the team, and the company simultaneously.
• Set a high standard for quality, organization, and attention to detail in every project.
• Measure, mark, and cut aluminum composite panels using CNC routers, panel saws, shears, or other cutting equipment.
• Keep fabrication areas clean and organized, returning tools and materials to their proper locations.
• Review daily work assignments with the superintendent and plan fabrication tasks accordingly.
• Maintain fabrication equipment, ensuring blades, bits, and tooling are in proper working condition.
• Take ownership of your work area and communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates.
• Assemble panels using fasteners, adhesives, and sealants as specified in fabrication manuals or drawings.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and safety awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery (brake press, shear, router, etc.).
• Lead Well
• Forklift or material handling experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Familiarity with CNC routing and computer-based layout software.
• PTO eligibility after 90 days.
• Demonstrate pride in craftsmanship through accurate layout, cutting, bending, and panel assembly.
• Relentless Problem Solving
• Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing, ideally with ACM or panel systems.
• Experience fabricating ACM panels
• Adapt to design changes, field conditions, and material variations with precision and professionalism.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including ability to convert fractions and decimals.
