Tasks

As our Bid Writer, you will manage the full tender lifecycle, ensuring submissions meet the company's quality standards and deadlines. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive bid success and embed social value within proposals. You will play a vital role in helping win contracts which helps reducing risks to our customers. This role sits at the heart of commercial growth in a rapidly expanding company. -Convert technical knowledge from operational teams into accessible language -Support knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across the business -Present strategic bid recommendations to leadership -Work closely with the bid manager to build and coordinate winning teams across departments -Handle Invitation to Tender (ITT) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses through creation and coordination -Build expertise in high-demand sectors (electrical services and security systems) that are crucial for modern infrastructure -Continuously improve bid success rates through post-award analysis -Build relationships with subject matter experts, functional leads, and operational teams -Complete supplier questionnaires and pre-qualification documents (PQQ) -Maintain and update the Bid Library with tailored content for specific client requirements -Identify the best tender opportunities for business growth -Secure new business and retain existing maintenance contracts through tenders and renewals -Shape the future of our bid processes and department operations as we continue to expand across multiple companies -Develop winning strategies and best practices repository -Work on cutting-edge electrical, security, and fire safety projects that are genuinely making buildings safer and more technologically advanced

What You Bring

By submitting an application you are agreeing to Ventro Group's GDPR Privacy Notice (including data storage). -Outstanding written and verbal communication -Proven bid writing experience -Strong time management and prioritisation skills -Must be willing to visit the Plymouth office occasionally -Background in Electrical, Security, or Fire Safety sectors is preferred but not essential -Meticulous attention to detail -Confidence with Microsoft Office suite -Experience regular variety through exciting site visits, client presentations, and industry networking opportunities
