  • Oversee lab pack inventory, scoping, and QC
  • Work with Ops Manager to develop backup coverage
  • Conduct timesheet approvals, semi-annual reviews, and supervise direct reportsES 1 management

  • Conduct and review practical lab packing trainings
  • Coach employees to balance safe work practices with efficiency

  • Conduct pre-job meetings with crews and oversee productive job flow
  • Provide coverage for PTO and other site backup required for OSS programsWork with Ops Manager to develop backup coverage
  • Build and manage book of business; prospect for new opportunities
  • Monitor team advancement and maintain group core competencies
  • Kicking off new OSS accounts
  • Lead morning duty program for the IL office
  • Monitor costable/billable hours and onsite efficiencies
  • Partner with OSS Coordinator and lead ES/TSRs to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
  • Review job folders, paperwork, and lab packs for quality control
  • Scope and manage new jobs (field service, lab pack)
  • Taking over non-Platinum Account OSS site visit program
  • Work on Yearlong onboarding training program
  • Collaborate with AMs, TSRs, and GMs to prepare proposals
  • Ensure compliance with transportation safety, including ES driver log reviews
  • Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Assist with helping and training new ES
  • The Operations Coordinator frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
  • Assess ES training needs and conduct technical, practical, and safety trainings
  • Manage field service projects, including subcontractor relations and contracts
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team
  • Develop detailed project breakdowns for inside operations
  • Mentor and develop chemists; grade and review chemist tests
  • Participate in COGS meetings to manage costs and improve margins

The ideal candidate has environmental industry experience and is detail-oriented, organized and thrives on problem-solving, building strong cross-team relationships, and mentoring others to meet high performance standards. This role requires someone who can balance structure with flexibility, an analytical thinker who ensures compliance while driving cost savings and operational excellence.

  • Prior relevant industry experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Regional Travel throughout the Midwest as necessary – between 0-4 days per week with overnights as required.
  • Must be able to submit college transcript
  • BS/BA in environmental science, Chemistry, Biology, or Business preferred, but all majors are welcome to apply.
  • ES 1 management
  • Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • 18 months+ of relevant experience
  • Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
  • Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis

Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
