What you would be doing

- Reporting to the relevant levels of management any contravention of statutory and HZI Safe working practices, this includes reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Monitoring all areas of the plant during plant inspections and report back any defects, issues and hazards on site
- Understand and ensure relevant requirements from Plant Operating (PPC / Environmental) Permit and other legal requirements relating to waste are implemented.
- Effectively react to support Operations and Maintenance during planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs, blockages and changes in the plant central systems ensuring jobs are completed safely.
- Ensure plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled and a high standard of plant housekeeping is maintained at all times.

- Experience in a similar industry in a similar position.
- Proactive to quickly react and with good judgment during emergencies.
- Strong IT skills, computer literacy.
- Good understanding of HSE standards, procedures, and requirements to control plant operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Comfortable working from heights and confined spaces, plus carrying out some heavy lift and operating vehicles onsite.
