Set-up, adjusts and operates all types of machine shop equipment. Select and lay out materials.
Build a variety of tools, engineering changes, molds, templates, fixtures and jigs.
Calculate shrink rate dimensions for different plastics.
Train mold technicians to increase their knowledge and skills in the areas of troubleshooting and mold repair techniques.
Draw sketches and calculate dimensions as required.
Repair or modify existing tools.
Requirements

Able to communicate effectively over the phone and before small groups of people.
CNC programming with milling and EDM machine experience
Able to read blue prints and reverse design parts and pieces from molds and equipment
Demonstrate basic computer skills.
Demonstrate acceptable layout welding skills and quality
Team player with the ability to work on miniature, close-tolerance parts and fixtures with minimum supervision.
Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills.
Related vocational certificate or associates degree
High school or equivalent preferred
1+ yrs. tool & die manufacturing experience
