- Define and implement the overall testing strategy, frameworks, and best practices to ensure software quality.
- Work with DevOps teams to integrate continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines.

- Ensure defect tracking, root cause analysis, and continuous feedback loops are in place.
- Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
- Create effective scenarios and tests following best practices like Behavior Driven Development (BDD ) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Manage test resources, schedules, and risk assessments to ensure timely quality project delivery.
- Advocate and implement test automation strategies to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members in Power System Domain which includes Energy Management Systems, Market Management Systems
- Make technology choices at individual level and analyse impact
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across multiple projects.
- Ensure test environments, data, and tools are effectively managed for smooth test execution.
- Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases
- Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to align testing with project goals and timelines.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test automation strategies for complex software solutions.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and proactive issue resolution within the testing team.

- Ability to write scripts (one of bash/ksh, python or groovy)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience using CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Exposure to AI-driven testing, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and security testing is a plus.
- Experience in Electrical Utilities industry domain or other regulated industries is a plus.
- Understand test frameworks, automation techniques, and testing methodologies (Katalon/Selenium)
- 8+ years of experience in software testing & quality assurance, with at least 5+ years in a lead role.
- Strong expertise in test management, automation, and performance testing tools (e.g., Selenium, HP Quick Test Professional, JMeter, LoadRunner, Cypress).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities.
- Java technology background, ability/familiarity to code at least in Core Java
- Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, CSM, SAFe Agile, or PMI-ACP are advantageous.
- Understand Jbehave/Cucumber framework, Java languages and different design patterns
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
