The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the general operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems at the W. Wiley Federal Building, including refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems. The role works onsite from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with a pay rate of $40.60 per hour. The mechanic will respond to service calls, prepare systems for seasonal weather changes, perform basic repairs, and collaborate with senior engineers to expand trade knowledge. The position emphasizes independent work, teamwork, and a commitment to advancing within the organization.

The employee will primarily work in a temperature‑controlled office but may be exposed to extreme outdoor conditions, fumes, noise, and other hazards during site visits.
