Ability to successfully function in a fast-paced cooperative team environment spanning across multiple offices.
Proficiency with VISUAL and/or AGi32 lighting analysis software.
Ability to lead analysis, design and preparation of electrical engineering elements and plans for agencies.
Experience in low voltage power distribution, CCTV, fiber optic, communications and systems engineering primarily for the transportation/transit industry is a plus.
Proficiency in the use of the AASHTO, IES Roadway Lighting Publications, and associated design manuals.
5 plus years of relevant experience.
Engineer In Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus, but not required.
Understanding and application of codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, IBC for completing electrical and lighting design work.
Desire to participate and excel with a broad range of project types, roles, customers, and tasks.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering is preferred.
Proficiency with Bentley’s OpenRoads, Autodesk’s Civil 3D, AutoCAD/REVIT and familiarity with BIM is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Capacity to independently prepare Roadway Lighting designs and familiarity with one or more NJDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, NJTA, TBTA, MassDOT, DDOT, PennDOT design standards and practices is preferred.
Previous DOT and Design-Build experience is a plus.
