IT Technician Intern

Description

• Monitor, prioritize, and resolve IT support tickets while maintaining accurate documentation
• Participate in projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of IT support and perform ad hoc duties as required.
• Support employee onboarding from an IT perspective
• Assist users with software applications, system access, and basic training
• Configure and deploy computer equipment for employees and manage hardware inventory
• Provide on-site technical support to all employees requiring hands-on technical support or assistance
• Provide technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system for hardware, software, and network issues

Requirements

• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Hardware troubleshooting and installation experience
• Basic mobile device knowledge
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Environment: Office-based with occasional travel to other locations
• Currently pursuing a degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with Active Directory and remote support tools
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to follow through on end user inquiries and requests, keeping them up to date about the progress of the service being provided, and monitoring their satisfaction.
• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office applications
