Ensuring systems are kept up to date and faults are entered into the maintenance management system.
Ensuring the workshop and offices are all maintained and operate to a high standard (organised, clean & tidy), including your own work areas.
Supporting the creation of written procedures and associated documents (SOPs, reports etc.) and report errors or where documents have become obsolete and need to be updated.
Using expertise and training to support the resolution of process issues as they arise.
Carrying out fault diagnosis to identify problems with plant as they arise and action the solution.
Ensuring accurate reporting of maintenance, equipment status, parts/consumables used and fault reports.
Ensuring all maintenance jobs are carried out safely, observing site rules and required risk assessments.
Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance tasks to maximise plant efficiency and minimise downtime.
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with site policies and procedures.
Supporting and contributing to a continuous improvement quality culture.
Use skills and experience to monitor plant performance and condition in order to identify potential breakdowns before they occur, ensuring that any required actions are correctly reported

Higher education in electrical or mechanical engineering fields to HNC or HND level desirable
Proficient computer skills (experience of Microsoft applications minimum)
Enjoy working in a team whilst being comfortable working autonomously
Knowledge of glass processing equipment including, conveyors, screens, bearings, optical sorters or similar industrial equipment would be a significant advantage
Proven (evidence of qualifications) training for hands on, mechanical/electrical servicing/diagnosis
A flexible and responsive approach to work, with the ability to take responsibility and justify actions
Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent
Good interpersonal skills, able to work alone and/or as part of a team
Good communicator, both written and spoken
Driving licence
Experience in production, manufacturing, welding, maintenance or servicing environments
Experience working with asset/maintenance management software, controlled work permit systems and following procedure
Good understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols and experience undertaking risk assessments and exercising risk reduction measures
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques including SMED, RCPS, 5’s, etc
Basic electrical understanding and a willingness to further develop in electrical competence would also be preferential
