Mitigation/Restoration Project Estimator

Description

• Track performance metrics and contribute to the success of the plumbing program
• Coordinate with technicians and the operations team to complete mitigation work efficiently
• Present services clearly to the client and obtain signed work authorizations
• Assist the homeowner in opening an insurance claim and communicate necessary claim details
• Meet with adjusters and insurance representatives to review scope, negotiate pricing, and secure approvals
• Maintain communication with the client from initial contact through project completion
• Meet with homeowners to assess the loss, scope the affected areas, and determine whether the project is self-pay or likely covered by insurance
• Complete thorough onsite documentation including detailed notes, photos, and MICA reports
• Write accurate estimates in Xactimate (X1) for emergency services and restoration needs
• Respond quickly to incoming plumbing program leads
• Complete small mitigation tasks or light project work independently when needed
• Collect payments from both homeowners and insurance carrier

Requirements

DFW area restoration contractor Cavalry Construction has an immediate opening for a full-time Plumbing Program Inspector. We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious professional with strong sales ability, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to manage plumbing related mitigation projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will present professionally, respond quickly to new plumbing leads, and confidently guide homeowners through both self-pay projects and insurance-covered losses.

Xactimate estimating experience required • Strong sales ability and proven success converting inspections into signed jobs • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment

• Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in the restoration or plumbing related field
• IICRC certifications preferred
• Experience with insurance mitigation projects
• The ability & willingness to be on-call 1-2 weeks per month. After hours calls are common.
• The ability & willingness to drive 2hrs outside of 75063

Supplemental Pay: • Commission pay

Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary plus commission structure, health benefits, 401(k), phone allowance, weekly fuel, automobile allowance, and paid vacation. Some travel required.
