The ideal candidate is a hands-on database expert with deep experience in MS SQL, performance tuning, reporting tools, and manufacturing systems support. You will also help lead the transition from legacy reporting systems to a modern data architecture, including the development of a robust data mart and data warehouse to support enterprise analytics.

- Ensure 24×7 monitoring and auditing tools are in place and functional.
- Create and maintain documentation for database architecture, user access, security, migrations, and automation.
- Support and learn additional database platforms such as Oracle and DB2.
- Design advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and views; develop dynamic SSRS and Power BI reports (dashboards, drill-down, multi-parameter).
- Lead the migration of legacy reporting into a modern data mart/data warehouse environment.
- Support IT/OT integrations, equipment data solutions, fault detection, and advanced process control initiatives.
- Participate in daily tier meetings and respond to critical production-impacting database issues.
- Provide operational support for on-premises databases supporting manufacturing equipment, process systems, and enterprise applications.
- Mentor team members on SQL optimization and database best practices.
- Collaborate with corporate IT, cybersecurity teams, and manufacturing teams to maintain compliance and system integrity.
- Troubleshoot performance issues across both virtual and physical database environments.
- Develop and maintain high-availability MS SQL database solutions for MES, SCADA, and Historian platforms.

BEPC is seeking a highly skilled Sr Database Administrator to support one of our clients at a major semiconductor manufacturing site in Richardson, TX. This role plays a critical part in designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability database systems powering advanced IT/OT operations, including MES, SCADA, FDC, APC, and emerging AI-driven automation.
- Ability to drive change and improve processes
- Experience across complete SDLC (requirements → design → coding → testing → production support)
- Proven success supporting IT/OT systems within manufacturing environments
- ITIL methodology familiarity
- Excellent verbal, written, and collaborative communication
- Strong customer partnership mindset
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience supporting IT/OT systems such as MES, SCADA, or similar manufacturing applications
- Proficiency in documenting infrastructure, automation scripts, configurations, and operational processes
- Advanced Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering
- 5+ years SQL Server Management Studio
- 5+ years database tuning
- Experience with data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
- Strong troubleshooting skills for critical outages and recovery
- 5+ years hands-on MS SQL experience
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, able to work with minimal oversight
- 2+ years Power BI
- 3+ years SSRS
- 2+ years PowerShell scripting
