Develop design presentations including mood boards, renderings, finish palettes, and graphic narratives.
Prepare finish schedules, specifications, and product documentation.
Contribute to cost estimating and value-engineering discussions.
Support senior designers in client relationship management.
Participate in site visits and punch list reviews to ensure design intent and quality.
Review and redline drawings for quality control and consistency.
Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to ensure design integration.
Research and evaluate materials, furnishings, and lighting for performance, sustainability, and budget alignment.
Produce accurate, coordinated, and detailed drawings using Revit or AutoCAD.
Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and consultants throughout design and construction phases.
Present design concepts and materials to clients with clear communication and professionalism.
Prepare detailed furniture layouts, finish plans, and interior elevations.
Work collaboratively and effectively with clients and colleagues including cross-functional teams, peers, direct reports, and leadership, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Mentor and support junior designers or interns through reviews and feedback.
Assist in maintaining design intent throughout documentation and construction.
Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors during specification and installation phases.
Prepare and coordinate FF&E packages, including procurement documentation when applicable.
Participate in the conceptual and schematic design process, contributing creative ideas, space planning, and material selection.
Attend client meetings, prepare meeting notes, and follow up on action items.

Proficiency in advanced design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
Actively working toward NCIDQ certification or already certified.
Adapt to changing business needs and priorities, demonstrating flexibility in taking on new responsibilities and adjusting to evolving challenges.
Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and through written communication.
Strong understanding of space planning, construction detailing, materials, codes, and FF&E.
Proven experience in Commercial, Civic, Hospitality or Higher Education
Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Interior Design.
Understand building codes, ADA requirements, and relevant interior design standards.
4-6 years of interior design experience in a professional firm setting
Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrate accountability and initiative in managing assigned tasks and deadlines.
Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, telephones, and printers.
Occasional light physical activity such as walking, standing, or carrying materials (up to 20 lbs.).
