Description

In this role you will prepare vacant apartments for new residents by performing various maintenance and finishing tasks, ensuring each unit is clean, functional, and safe for move‑in.

• Apartment Refresh – Repair surfaces, replace fixtures, test appliances, change HVAC filters, touch up flooring and carpet, and apply fresh paint to make apartments move‑in ready.
• Safety First – Maintain a safe work environment for residents and team members, adhering to company and industry safety standards.
• Pitch In – Assist the maintenance team with ongoing repairs and property upkeep as needed.
• Resident‑Friendly – Interact with residents in a courteous and professional manner while on site.
• Treat residents with high concern and care, demonstrate safety orientation, integrity, honesty, and ethics.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to fulfill essential duties.
• Treat everyone with respect and dignity, accept responsibility, take ownership, follow through, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• Hands‑On Experience – Minimum 1 year of general maintenance, handyman, or make‑ready experience.
• Detail‑Oriented – Notice small details that enhance the apartment’s appearance for new residents.
• Reliable & Responsible – Consistently punctual, follow‑through on tasks, and own your work.
• Valid Driver’s License – Required for operating company vehicles or picking up supplies.
• Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure exemplary job completion and identify hazards.
• Familiarity with various tools and materials needed for residential building maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with proven ability to meet goals and deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• High school diploma or GED required; at least 1 year relevant work experience, preferably in property management or hospitality.
• Prior experience in general building maintenance or painting in commercial/residential settings preferred, including light carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned vehicles or use personal vehicle for work.
• Occasional travel may require driving a company or personal vehicle for business.
• Able to lift or move items up to 25 lb frequently and up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Nonexempt (hourly) status.
