Description

• Ensure compliance with customer safety management requirements, company systems, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Foster a culture of integrity and high ethical standards by promoting Linxon’s Code of Conduct across the project delivery organization.
• Manage the PMO office within an EPC business.
• Manage a portfolio of projects and project management activities.
• Provide leadership and project management delivery across all EPC project phases.
• Monitor and lead project management teams from proposal preparation through completion and close‑out.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for all aspects of project delivery.
• Own the profit and loss of projects in the portfolio.
• Support project managers in achieving individual project objectives.
• Conduct regular visits to construction sites.
• Develop robust, effective, and efficient project execution plans during proposal preparation and oversee implementation.
• Create resource plans for the portfolio and build project teams in collaboration with functional heads and recruitment.
• Cultivate a positive team environment, coaching and mentoring project management staff.
• Promote professional development of project management staff to enhance delivery capabilities to international standards and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management systems to boost performance.
• Ensure compliance with Linxon policies, standard operating procedures, and customer requirements.
• Perform thorough project reviews and produce regular reports per company policies and SOPs.

Requirements

Job Title: Project Director, located in Middleton, Lancaster. Linxon seeks a highly experienced professional to lead its project delivery function, overseeing a team that executes lump‑sum EPC projects in electrical transmission, distribution, utilities, and renewable energy across the UK. The role reports to the UK Director of Operations and is responsible for managing a portfolio from proposal through execution and closure.

The company’s vision is to provide world‑class power technologies and high‑competence infrastructure project management for power transmission, renewable energy, and transportation sectors.

• Demonstrate visible safety, environmental, and sustainability leadership to set the tone for project delivery teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited institution.
• Extensive experience delivering lump‑sum EPC projects as a Tier 1 contractor, preferably in the UK electricity transmission and distribution sector.
• Significant experience as a project director and portfolio director, including management of project management/PMO functions for Tier 1 contractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of internationally recognised project management standards.
• Strong risk awareness and risk management skills.
