The role encompasses developing local procedures, maintaining prevention programs for safety and environmental protection, conducting risk analyses, and keeping the HS&E risk register current. The specialist will also promote a proactive safety culture, coordinate training and inspections, support project teams with change‑control matters, and oversee wastewater quality monitoring and annual environmental reporting.
Applicants must hold a university degree in health, safety or environmental studies, possess 3‑5 years of relevant experience, be bilingual in French and English, and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Preferred credentials include ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management‑system audit training, ideally with certification as an auditor.
