

JLL provides professional services in real estate and investment management worldwide.
The role involves creating and maintaining sprinkler project programmes to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards, while flagging potential risks. It is based on the Bridgwater site in Somerset with regular travel to the Head Office in Birmingham, and candidates may be based in Birmingham, Bristol or the surrounding areas. This is a permanent salaried position; contractors or freelancers are not being considered.
Key responsibilities include developing detailed schedules with Microsoft Project, coordinating with design teams, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders, analysing designs to determine resource requirements, forecasting labour, material and equipment needs, and identifying programme conflicts with contingency plans. The role also requires monitoring construction progress, adjusting the programme as needed, preparing regular progress reports for management and clients, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes and quality standards, supporting procurement by identifying lead times, and communicating schedule updates in project meetings.
Candidates must have 3‑5 years of construction planning or project‑management experience, ideally within the sprinkler or MEP sector, and proven NEC contract‑based planning experience on medium‑size projects (£1m‑£20m). Proficiency with Microsoft Project, strong knowledge of construction methods, commercial and contractual matters, and solid programming techniques are essential. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills, together with a detail‑oriented and organised approach, are also required.
The package includes a competitive, negotiable salary, a car allowance of £5,000, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy five days and sell two, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance and private medical cover. Working hours are 36.5 per week (Monday to Thursday 8:45‑16:40, Friday 8:45‑16:00). A DBS check will be required for the role.
