Materials Planner

Description

We’re seeking a proactive Materials Planner to support our client’s high-volume, JIT automotive environment. This role is critical to ensuring smooth supplier coordination, on-time deliveries, and inventory accuracy, all while driving continuous improvement and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Be the driving force behind supplier coordination, inventory accuracy, and on-time deliveries in a fast-paced

• Ensure supplier compliance with delivery, packaging, and lead-time standards.
• Monitor and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track delivery performance, address non-conformances, and manage corrective actions (8Ds).
• Manage supplier component processing in a JIT environment.
• Build strong supplier relationships for effective communication and problem resolution.
• Maintain MRP processes, weekly EDI vendor releases, and CUM reconciliation.
• Support inventory optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate PFEP with supplier inventory and storage parameters.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in supplier management, inventory control, or customer service in an automotive JIT environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• HS Diploma or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field.
• Detail-oriented, team player, and proactive problem solver.
