Prepare detailed engineering design calculations.
Determine the scope and fee for proposed engineering services.
Coordinate and be responsible for mechanical engineering drawings and specifications, Project Managing and/or working within multidisciplinary project teams.
Conduct peer reviews of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications within the mechanical team.
Support specific sales, proposal, and project efforts.
Nurture and maintain strong client relationships in and for execution of projects, and as appropriate participate in marketing/business development.
Design building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems, focusing on concept design, and working with the buildings mechanical team to develop full design packages.
Provide strong technical mentorship to junior and intermediate mechanical engineers and technologists.
Prepare Technical Specifications and documents for bidding and construction.

Familiar with consulting contract terminology.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP software.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in the province of Ontario. License to practice engineering in Quebec is considered an asset.
Demonstrated technical writing skills; capable of writing reports, proposals, letters, and technical specifications.
Ability to bring a wide variety of stakeholders together to meet tight deadlines.
Proven success in developing new business with existing clients and maintaining positive relationships.
Good verbal communication and soft skills.
Experience in mechanical design for water/wastewater facilities is considered an asset.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Good organization, coordination, and project management skills to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Mechanical design experience of process piping systems considered an asset.
Familiarity with industry trends and industry leaders in Ontario.
Minimum of 10 years of consulting engineering experience in the buildings industry, working with municipal, provincial, federal, industrial, healthcare, commercial and educational clients.
Excellent knowledge of national and provincial building codes and standards.
Ability to work in English and in French is considered an asset.
