Description

• Create airport civil design plans using AutoCAD, including geometric design.
• Design runways, taxiways, aprons, and both bituminous and concrete pavements.
• Develop stormwater and utility infrastructure designs for airports.
• Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and construction management (<25% travel) to gather project details.
• Ensure high attention to detail and accuracy, triple‑checking all work.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited university and be eager to learn software platforms such as AutoCAD. Strong critical‑thinking skills, a willingness to ask questions, and a collaborative team mindset are essential. Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial, as the work involves drawing plans for aviation infrastructure. Preference is given to those who have completed, or intend to complete within six months, the Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) or Engineering Internship (EI) exam.
