The role involves analyzing sketches, notes, and other input material to prepare accurate plans, and producing computer‑generated graphs, charts, overlays, isometric drawings, and digital terrain models. Technicians must adhere to the company’s CAD standards for layering and sheet layout, coordinate details and dimensions across drawing sheets, and collaborate with various project teams to support project completion. Additional duties include preparing project exhibits, addressing increasingly complex assignments, and releasing CAD files to external parties or agencies.
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Civil CAD Design Technician for its Civil/Site Discipline in Phoenix, Arizona. Design Technicians perform design, drafting, and project‑related tasks on assigned projects, transforming basic survey data into CADD‑produced drawings using appropriate software. Joining the Civil/Site team offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects such as warehousing complexes, sporting arenas, commercial/residential developments, and mixed‑use establishments, accelerating career growth.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree or technical certificate—preferably in AutoCAD—being advantageous. One to two years of relevant experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software are required. Strong general computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and effective written and spoken English communication are also essential.
