The Intermediate Architectural Technologist is responsible for leading the preparation of detailed design and construction documentation while coordinating with internal and external teams. This role builds on foundational technical knowledge and contributes to project delivery across various building types and project phases.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and support their technical growth.
- Coordinate input from subconsultants under guidance from senior staff.
- Support submission processes for municipal approvals.
- Liaise with clients and municipal authorities as requested.
- Review and contribute to the accuracy and quality of technical drawings and coordination.
- Promote a collaborative team environment while working independently when required.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and contribute to a productive, team-oriented office culture.
- Report on project progress to the Project Manager or Job Captain.
- Lead and produce drawing sets for permit and construction documentation using Revit.
- Perform building code analyses and prepares compliance reports.
- Maintain compliance with internal QA/QC, project filing, and documentation standards.
- Conduct research on products, materials, and systems to inform technical detailing.
- Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Technologist to join our Calgary Studio.
- Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- 5–10 years of experience in an architectural office.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revizto, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Navisworks is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of construction systems, detailing, and code compliance.
- Able to work in a collaborative, in-office environment (100% in-office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross-functional coordination).
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project delivery goals.
- Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
