Directs internal and external communications regarding outages, emergencies and other routine service work. Responsible for the status of the electric distribution system and drives timely restorations to normal system configuration. Contributes and may be assigned a leadership role in escalated operations for service territory.
Contributes to safety, cost, customer service, and reliability targets that are consistent with the business plan and service-level agreements. Directs the implementation of business plan strategy and tactics. Responsible for providing real-time operational support and on-call coverage. Contributes to budget planning and performance.
Participates on teams as necessary to provide expert technical & operational support to others.
Directs electric distribution control center employees in their daily real-time functions, including dispatching, responding to outages, switching, advanced applications, emergencies and other routine service work. Supports the departmental business plan by contributing to the effective and efficient assignment of resources with emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, reliability, cost, and compliance with regulations. Directs interpretation and administration of any applicable labor contracts.
Supports and actively participates in the development of employees, through training, mentoring and succession development.
Supports the implementation of new technologies so that productivity, customer service, and reliability targets are achieved.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with prior control center experience.
Must be able to adjust work schedule to provide technical coverage as needed.
