The Part‑Time Associate Community Director reports to the Community Director and supports the management of the community’s financial and operational functions. This non‑exempt role handles accounting, bookkeeping, monthly close‑out, financial reporting, invoice processing, rent collection, bank deposits, reconciliations, and utilizes the property management system to track all financial activities.
Daily duties include posting rent and fees, preparing bank deposits, and generating financial reports while collaborating with the accounting department to resolve discrepancies. The associate reviews and submits vendor invoices, codes charges, and communicates with vendors, contractors, and owners. They also monitor resident accounts for delinquent balances, enforce lease terms, manage evictions, process move‑outs, and address resident complaints to promote satisfaction and retention. In the Community Manager’s absence, they supervise on‑site staff, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with company policies. Additional responsibilities may include assisting leasing and marketing efforts, conducting property tours, and preparing various administrative reports.
The position requires a 40‑hour work week with typical hours of 9 am‑6 pm Monday‑Friday, 10 am‑5 pm Saturday, and 1 pm‑5 pm Sunday, and the associate must be available to work scheduled weekends, usually the first weekend of the month, and perform duties independently.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and have at least two years of multifamily industry experience covering property management, sales, marketing, and customer service. Strong written and verbal communication, basic arithmetic, and reasoning abilities are required, as is proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and property management software such may Yardi or OneSite. A valid driver’s license is also required.
Work is performed in an office setting but also involves frequent exposure to outdoor elements and the need to navigate the property’s interiors and exteriors. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, lifting up to 20 lb independently (or 50 lb with assistance), and operating golf carts, with occasional travel for bank deposits or training.
