Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our team. This role leads the development and delivery of next‑generation Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) and Command and Control (C2) solutions.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. Candidates should have 20+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Relevant certifications in software engineering, DevSecOps, or related fields are preferred, and an active Secret security clearance is required. These credentials support the Federal Solutions team’s mission to deliver critical resources to U.S. government customers.
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, and C++.
- Strong knowledge of modular architectures and DevSecOps practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Strong time‑management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects.
- Experience in high‑visibility roles.
- Experience with geospatial tools, algorithms, and sensor integration (EO/IR, RF, Radar, Acoustic).
- Expertise in API development, including RESTful services and WebSockets.
- Proficiency with automated build/test pipelines and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks for image processing, classification, and synthetic data generation.
- Ability to work from or travel to the Northern Virginia area and Summit Point, WV test facility.
