As a DET Senior Engineer you will lead the stationary infrastructure design and its integration into the broader DET system. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑performing team to mature production‑ready designs at the system level and ensure successful sustainable site solutions for customers.
The Cat® Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET) system, fully developed by Caterpillar, can transfer energy to diesel‑electric and battery‑electric mining trucks while they operate, and can charge batteries on the go, improving efficiency and uptime. This innovative solution supports both near‑term and long‑term sustainability strategies for customers.
The position requires a degree from an accredited program in mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science, or materials science. Desired skills include business process improvement, tactical and strategic planning, quality management, analytical thinking, effective communication, problem solving, and systems thinking.
The role is based full‑time at Caterpillar’s Tucson, AZ office and may involve up to 25 % travel. Domestic relocation assistance is provided, but visa sponsorship is not available.
