The LiDAR Tech II will support the development of Phoenix LiDAR Systems through the analysis and processing of remotely sensed data from a variety of sensor types. This role requires an intimate understanding of the components of a LiDAR system, their characteristics, how their various streams of data are utilized to create geospatial products, and how industries use those products. The LiDAR Tech II will work closely with our software development, production, and sales teams. This team member must possess the knowledge to help guide hardware and software development decisions. They will also form relationships with clients and support their needs. The LiDAR Tech II will be expected to employ rigorous methodologies and maintain complete documentation of procedures. This person will also be able to work independently on critical tasks from start to finish, conveying timely results that are actionable and thoroughly researched.
Generate data products and adhere to end-user specifications
Identify data issues, troubleshoot. and determine root cause
Documentation of software workflows
Communicating with supervisors, peers, and clients
Conduct technical training for clients
Evaluate and develop workflows for a variety of LiDAR and Photogrammetry software
Produce detailed reports as a product of data analysis and investigation
Maintain expertise in GNSS/IMU coupled trajectory processing
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience: LiDAR, Geospatial data processing, Geodetics or similar
Training and presenting to a varied client base
Project management experience
Physical Demands: Extended periods of sitting or standing and computer use.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Geo-science, geography, engineering, or a relevant field.
Critical Thinking and the ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
Intermediate proficiency in Google Workspace Applications
LiDAR calibration expertise
Required Travel: 10-15% Expected, will fluctuate based off demand.
Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills
Seven (7) or more years’ experience
Ability to understand interrelated processes between different apps and software platforms.
