Typically our Graduate Quantity Surveyors will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties;

Working with Cairn Homes

Reporting on budgets and variations.
Assisting the Senior QS to assist with the preparation of monthly internal valuations and monthly cost reports
Maintaining subcontractor and supplier contractual details
Assisting the Senior QS to manage subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consultants along with normal QS duties

Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Cairn Homes are looking for a graduate Quantity Surveyor. This is an 18-month fixed term, site-based graduate position.

To be able to co-ordinate a number of different projects at the same time.
An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
To have strong analytical skills and ability to present findings
To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
To have good spoken and written communication skills
To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
3rd Level Degree in Quantity Surveying
Good IT skills with familiarity of Cubit, Cost-ex or equivalent, Microsoft Word and Excel
To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
Relevant work experience desirable
