Description

• Provide technical and specification support to architects, designers, and contractors throughout project lifecycles.
• Advise on product and system solutions that meet design intent, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Produce and manage project‑specific technical specifications.
• Record and track project activity using CRM systems.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of architectural and contractor‑led projects across the Midlands.
• Monitor design and construction phases to ensure specification retention and conversion.
• Deliver CPD presentations and design workshops for architectural and contractor clients.
• Coordinate with commercial, sales, and technical teams to ensure smooth handover from specification to order.
• Communicate effectively, present confidently, and build lasting relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced, technically‑minded Architectural Specification Manager to cover the Midlands, ideally based in Birmingham. The role provides design and technical support to architects and main contractors, manages project specifications through every design stage, and drives conversion through strong relationships and technical excellence. You will act as the key link between the design team and our commercial, sales and technical colleagues to ensure seamless project handover.

• Apply strong knowledge of architectural systems, building products, and construction detailing.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of managing specifications from early design through delivery.
• Familiarity with RIBA Plan of Work, Building Regulations and industry standards (desired).
• Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple regional projects simultaneously.
