Description

The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. The role includes signing leases and acting as a landlord on behalf of property owners.

• Respond to phone and online inquiries and schedule virtual, self‑guided, or in‑person tours.
• Greet and qualify prospects using lead‑management software; process applications and deposits per Fair Housing rules.
• Maintain availability reports and conduct credit and rental‑history checks before submitting applications.
• Obtain Community Manager approval and follow up with applicants on their status.
• Show apartments, close leases, prepare units for move‑in, collect signatures, and conduct community orientation.
• Manage the property’s social‑media presence to increase visibility and engagement.
• Resolve resident complaints, questions, and service requests promptly to boost satisfaction and retention.
• Handle all sale‑closing activities: set appointments, generate leads, conduct tours, maintain showrooms, and follow up.
• Apply marketing strategies within budget limits, including competitive rates, referrals, promotions, and outreach.
• Plan and host resident events, attend after‑hours functions, and act as host as needed.
• Complete lease, move‑in, and check‑out paperwork efficiently during peak periods.
• Participate in weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
• Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of resident service requests.

Requirements

Candidates need an Associate’s degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.

Physical requirements include extended desk work, occasional stair climbing, reading documents and screens, hearing verbal communications, and occasional lifting of items up to 20 lb. The work environment is primarily an open‑office setting with occasional outdoor exposure, bright lights, and background noise. Employment is contingent on a successful background check and a valid driver’s license.
