The Accounting Manager will support the Assistant Controller group and Management by performing month-end and year-end close procedures, reviewing the work of others, preparing audit and review engagement requests, obtaining information from other departments, mentoring teammates, and handling special ad-hoc projects.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures and assist team members as needed
- Direct post-close integration of accounting functions for newly acquired entities, including chart of accounts mapping, internal control implementation, and alignment of accounting policies
- Prepare and/or review audit and review engagement requests promptly
- Manage multiple overlapping projects and deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively
- Use technology and tools to create efficiencies in the month-end close process
- Cross-train and mentor new team members on accounting procedures
- Maintain up-to-date process documents for month-end and year-end close to support training
- Identify opportunities to ensure accurate financial records, streamline processes, and implement controls
- Communicate challenges to Management and propose solutions
- May supervise other team members as needed
- Support Assistant Controller group and Management with ad hoc projects and requests
- Manage multiple projects with competing priorities and meet deadlines

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred), at least eight years of progressive accounting experience—including public accounting and industry roles—plus prior people-management experience. The role requires sitting at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to research and apply accounting guidance
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to propose solutions to stakeholders
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and effective communicator
- Experience training and assisting team members on processes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
- Minimum 8 years progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry roles
- Prior people‑management experience required
- Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
