- Machine and/or fabricate fixtures, jigs, dies, and other miscellaneous tooling as required for production equipment.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Help maintain all manufacturing and assembly equipment.
- Help solve problems in the manufacturing area, through observation, advice and by modifying tooling as required.
- Measure sharpened cutting tools to verify conformance to specifications.
- Perform periodic maintenance and lubrication of tool room equipment.
- Perform periodic maintenance and lubrication of tool grinding equipment.
- Grind special form tools, involving special setups and wheel dressing.
- Stand and or sit on stool in one area for up to two (2) hours at a time.
- Turn and assemble production parts with fingers and hands for up to two (2) hours at a time.
- Machine and/or fabricate sample parts for both sales and test lab.
- Design, modify, or make special tools according to specifications or tooling requirements.
- Set up and operate grinding machines such as universal, drill, and tool and cutter grinders, to grind and sharpen cutting tools.

- High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.
- Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to move about the facility moving product.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills are required. Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide.
- Employees must have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with manual equipment such as grinders, mills, lathes, etc. Individuals must take a mechanical aptitude test when applying for this position. Employees must be able to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings and be skilled in the use of precision instruments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
