In this position you’ll keep automation projects moving by supporting data‑center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical and control checks, and leading checkout and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems. You’ll partner with automation engineers to test, troubleshoot and validate systems, provide clear updates to customers and project teams, and follow rotating travel schedules such as 5‑on/2‑off, 10‑on/4‑off, or 14‑on/7‑off.
We’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who thrive on travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy tackling complex problems, this role could be a perfect fit.
We are looking for candidates who love travel, have a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming and networking, and thrive when plans change. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, residence within 50 miles of a major airport, a personal vehicle, U.S. work authorization, and a technical degree or 3+ years of related hands‑on experience are required.
The role requires the ability to walk long distances, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb, and work in varied environments such as construction sites or outdoors. ProAutomated is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion and reasonable accommodations.
ProAutomated offers a blend of work and travel: you’ll move between North‑American cities, earn travel rewards, and work directly with customers without a fixed office. Compensation starts at $60‑75 K plus per‑diem, mileage, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a 5 % salary increase after six months, alongside health, dental, life insurance, a matching 401(k) and flexible paid time off after 18 months.
