The Associate Photographer role supports Homes.com and Apartments.com by collecting media for residential listings. Photographers are equipped with a Matterport Pro 3 camera, digital photography gear and an iPad to create virtual tours, floor plans and high‑quality photos. Each photographer is assigned a core territory and works on scheduled appointments to scan homes and apartments for online marketing.
In addition to residential work, photographers patrol one‑mile‑square grids to capture commercial‑real‑estate data, identifying new inventory and missing availability. They cooperate with scheduling, dispatch, sales, research and management teams, communicating professionally and adhering to CoStar safety standards while representing the company.
The position requires frequent sitting in a vehicle, standing and walking up to eight hours a day, and the ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to five pounds. Repetitive hand and arm movements are needed to operate camera gear and tablets, and occasional bending, stooping and twisting are required. Work may be performed outdoors in all seasons and on a rotating weekend schedule.
Candidates must have at least two years of professional real‑estate photography experience, a recent photography degree or equivalent, and an FAA Part 107 drone certification obtained within 30 days of hire. Strong time‑management, detail‑orientation, data‑entry accuracy and excellent oral and written communication are required. A valid driver’s license, clean driving record and proficiency with Windows, macOS and Microsoft Office are also required.
The role is compensated hourly with an annual equivalent of $49 000‑$50 000 and includes performance‑based monthly bonuses tied to predefined metrics. Bonuses are paid each month based on individual results.
