Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across a diverse range of projects such as aerospace, defence, and energy. Work hands‑on with client engagements while shaping and growing our in‑house MBSE capability. Coach and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical development. Work from our Derby office with occasional short‑term client‑site deployments through 2025.
- Define and manage requirements at system, sub‑system, and equipment levels.
- Develop and refine requirement specifications with cross‑functional teams.
- Lead development of system architectures, concepts, and solutions using MBSE tools and techniques.
- Produce system and sub‑system specifications and identify solutions to meet requirements.
- Support and lead project proposal development and execute projects to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with customer representatives, apply engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Manage and resolve problems arising from development and qualification activities.

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with MBSE expertise to join our team in Derby.
- Hold a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in engineering, science, or applied mathematics.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of systems engineering principles, especially in aerospace.
- Experience applying MBSE approaches and tools; familiarity with Capella and Arcadia method advantageous.
- Proficient with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORs or JAMA Connect.
- Possess technical knowledge or willingness to learn in thermofluids, CFD, thermals, FEA, or structural engineering.
- Exhibit excellent project management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership) preferred.
- Flexible thinker who enjoys client interaction, takes responsibility for delivery, and thrives in a dynamic engineering team.
