Key responsibilities include diagnosing equipment malfunctions with electronic tools, executing complex repairs on chassis, hydraulic and electrical systems, and performing line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. Technicians are expected to maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle components, complete all required company training, and handle additional job‑related duties as assigned.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience servicing heavy‑duty trucks and be capable of inspecting and repairing systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions with minimal supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8), LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B Commercial Driver’s License are considered assets but not mandatory.
The Maintenance Technician A works under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager. This role performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air‑brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering.
